  • Some of the substances with which CHLOROGENIC ACIDS interact are alcohol, adenosine, anticoagulants, alendronate and quinolone-based antibiotics, clozapine, dipyridamole, disulfiram, stimulant drugs, ephedrine, estrogens, fluvoxamine, lithium, medications for asthma, pentobarbital, phenylpropanolamine, riluzole, theophylline and verapamil.

Side effects

  • Although the maximum dose of 30 drops per day only contains 15% of the caffeine found in an Americano coffee, consumption in large quantities greater than this dose can cause symptoms such as nervousness, irritability, insomnia and palpitations, as well as heartburn. , gastroesophageal reflux and decreased glucose levels with a feeling of weakness and fatigue.
  • People with diagnosed or known allergies to coffee should also avoid its consumption.

Contraindications

  • Although it has been noted that it is beneficial for those who suffer from type 2 diabetes due to its property of regulating glucose levels, it is advisable to keep in mind that if you are taking medications or insulin, the coffee fruit extract could enhance the effects of these on the body and cause an excessive reduction in blood sugar levels.
